Trader Joe’s Haul: PSL Edition

The hiatus is over. Nic is finally back from her 2-month Europe exploration, and Ash has officially broken the record for most involved and busy college student EVER. We are finally getting back into the groove of things, and have had time to breathe and get back to writing and blogging and all that fun stuff.

What better way to welcome ourselves back than with a shopping spree?! We did our shopping at none other, than Trader Joe’s. If you’ve never been to a Trader Joe’s, we need you to stop reading this and go...right now. Trader Joe’s is what we imagine all grocery stores in heaven to be like. An amazing little store packed with everything you need, you can find locally sourced and organic produce to imported wine and snacks from across the globe. In honor of the changing of seasons, we decided to buy everything pumpkin, for allllll our basic white girl needs (cue the uggs & pumpkin spice lattes)!

So here it is, a haul of all the fun and funky pumpkin items we could find at Trader Joe’s. All the pumpkin-y goodness that Nic forced Ash to try with her.

Pumpkin Tortilla Chips:

Munch, munch, munch. We loveeeee some nice tortilla chips. But pumpkin tortilla chips?!?!! Who even knew that was a thing…? And the craziest part, they were actually pretty decent. They’re nice to snack on, and a bit less salty than your usual tortilla chip. They dip well with nearly anything, so grab some pumpkin tortilla chips and salsa for your next taco Tuesday!

Pumpkin Energy Bar:

Hmmmm..this one was, well it just wasn’t the best. It was basically an orange bar with some pumpkin seeds scattered throughout. It was pretty dull and boring, might as well just skip the energy bar, and grab a pumpkin muffie from Panera Bread (not as good for your body, but so much better for your soul).

Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps:

These are a must at Thanksgiving. They’re so festive, and will be a great appetizer while you’re waiting for your Turkey to cook. Eat ‘em with cheeses or spreads, they’ll surely be a hit.

Pumpkin Bread Mix:

Mmmmmmm, there is nothing quite like pumpkin bread! We were so excited to try this guy out, because pumpkin bread is THE best fall dessert. Unfortunately this pre-mix box left us quite disappointed! It came out looking so pretty, but it was overly cinnamon-y and you are much better off whipping up some from scratch—sooo worth the effort.

Pumpkin Body Butter:

Nic’s favorite from the haul. This stuff will have your skin feelin’ good AND smellin’ good! It’s thick and will rehydrate your skin with a light fall scent—not overly scented or overpowering. You can’t go wrong with this all natural seasonal favorite!

Pumpkin & Butternut Squash Pasta Sauce:

Ash’s favorite from the haul. This stuff is SO stinkin’ good. Nic was craving some pasta and we just so happened to find the perfecttttt substitute for boring tomato sauce! The bright orange color may look daunting, but it was fresh and flavorful. This made for the perfect meal when we mixed it together with some ground beef and piled it high on our spaghetti noodles.

That’s a wrap! Thanks for sticking with us after being gone wayyyy too long and after talking about wayyyy too much pumpkins. We love fall, and this was so fun to do! Be on the lookout for more Trader Joe’s hauls in the future!!

Comment below and let us know what item from our haul that you’d try out. Wait and see what we’ll do next!
