Quarantine Spotlight: TNT Goods

Is it just us or do you feel as if you have watched nearly everything on Netflix? Dangerous Lies 🗸 Never Have I Ever 🗸 Outerbanks 🗸 The Half of It 🗸 . We are now accepting new Netflix recommendations! The world is slowly starting to re-open, and we hope that you all are staying safe and healthy throughout this transition. Make sure to take care of yourself and your loved ones, and take any necessary precautions as you start to spend more time outside around others. Nic has travelled home to Maryland to be with family, and we are counting down the days until we can reunite back in our city.

We are SO excited for the continuation of our Quarantine Series as we feature a dynamic duo, two besties that share a business. We loved talking to the beautiful ladies behind TNT Goods, as they curate stunning functional pieces of art. We have come across these two lovely ladies at numerous market events and pop-ups. As fellow blogging besties we had a blast (digitally) talking to Jessica and Simone, the faces behind TNT Goods.

Tell us about yourself:

“We are Jessica & Simone. We have been best friends for almost 10 years.”

Wow! Can you say BFF goals?!

“We met in college in a poetry club and have been inseparable ever since. Jessica is from Chicago and Simone is from Louisville. We spend every day together because we’re roommates and love each other’s company. We also have a blog together called This And That With Us. We have always loved to take trips together — road trips, one way international flights, anywhere really. We are lovers of food, hair, and laughter. Our blog chronicles our daily adventures and showcases all the things we love.“

 Tell us about your business: 

“As creatives and lovers of art, we’ve always felt that art should be functional — something you can use or wear. That’s how TNT Goods began less than a year ago — to expand the concept of art beyond the gallery. Sometimes art feels so unattainable or limited to a painting on a wall. We wanted to add art everywhere — on your key ring, your dining room table, your night stand, your denim jacket, and even in your shower.

We create handmade keychains, decorative trays, coasters, buttons, and soap dishes. We are also releasing our new jewelry line this month. We hope to create signature pieces that spark joy and add an extra razzle dazzle to your look.”

As avid jewelry lovers, we will DEFINITELY be awaiting this new line!!

 What are your hopes in the future for your craft? 

“We hope that TNT Goods continues to spark joy. We envision our products in countless homes all over the world. We want to continue to push the envelope, stay innovative, and create unforgettable and timeless goods. We also want TNT Goods to be able to create job opportunities for other creatives.”

 How has this quarantine season affected your craft?  

“TNT Goods has been heavily impacted by the quarantine. We’ve had market opportunities canceled and as a business, we depend primarily on markets. The quarantine has also impaired our ability to create our handmade products at the same rate as prior to the quarantine.”

 What have you been doing to keep yourself busy during  this quarantine season?  

“We’ve spent most of the quarantine binge watching shows and getting on each other’s nerves lol. Outside of that, we’ve been brainstorming new products to add to TNT Goods. We have also been working diligently on our jewelry line and staying active on social media.”
